Gov. Phil Murphy proposed $11.6 billion for New Jersey鈥檚 public schools in his fiscal year 2025 budget address on Tuesday 鈥 a historic investment that would, for the first time, fully fund K-12 schools.
The proposed aid, a $908 million increase from the current year, would be Murphy鈥檚 final payment into the seven-year plan,, to fully fund the聽聽and redirect money to underfunded districts, including Newark Public Schools.
