More than 2 dozen Georgia teachers, staff lost to COVID-19 since start of school year

More than two dozen Georgia teachers and staff members have died of COVID-19 since the start of the school year in July.

The youngest was just 24 years old.

They were teachers and coaches. They were bus drivers and school resource officers. They were administrative assistants and day care teachers. They were lunchroom managers and education specialists.

At least 24 of those teachers and staff members have died since Aug. 11, in just over 30 days.

WSB-TVcould only confirm that two of the teachers and staff members were vaccinated.
