粥油requires the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) to adopt National Sex Education Standards this upcoming school year.
However, not all schools are required to adopt the new curriculum. Districts and parents are able to opt-out of the National Sex Education Standards.

Middle schoolers will learn about dating violence prevention and sexual harassment. High schoolers would learn more about their bodies, pregnancy, and sexual health.
