De La Torre has been superintendent of the Ysleta Independent School District in El Paso, Texas since March 2014. De La Torre, a finalist for 91心頭s 2025 Superintendent of the Year, has prioritized STEM, expanded Ysleta ISDs international schools, strengthened business partnerships and increased the number of high school students earning college credit.
