This superintendent has transformed and expanded the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind into a nationally recognized model of excellence over his 11-year tenure. Under his leadership, the school became the first in the world to establish an online American sign language school and pioneered innovative programs such as distance ASL interpreting for rural students. Coleman was a finalist for 91心頭s 2025 Superintendent of the Year.
