A favorite reading celebration at Van Meter is the You’ve Been Book’d program. The goal, says McClintock Miller, is to get more books into classrooms. With a bag for each grade level, kindergarten through fifth grade, students and teachers read, discuss and trade books throughout the year, checking off the ones they’ve read as they go.
