The Washoe County School District will decide on Tuesday whether to hire a national firm for a superintendent search, with the goal of having a new leader in place by next school year.

Superintendent Susan Enfield resigned in November after 16 months in the job. Her predecessor, Kristen McNeill, is serving as interim superintendent.

The special meeting to discuss the scope and cost of the superintendent search starts at 9 a.m., before the regular board meeting that starts at 2 p.m.
