People Watch: New York district hires new superintendent

Richard Calkins will lead Pocantico Hills, a small New York K-8 district, as of July 1. He has been the superintendent of the state’s Alfred-Almond Central School District in Allegany County for about 10 years. Calkins replaces Carol Conklin-Spillane, who is retiring as superintendent of the Pocantico Hills school district.Read more.
