People Watch: Georgia district hires school leader from Tennessee

Mike Looney will be the next superintendent of Fulton County Schools, Georgia’s fourth-largest school district. He succeeds Jeff Rose who resigned last fall. Looney has been the superintendent of Williamson County Schools in Tennessee for nearly a decade. Read more.

The school board of Pennsylvania’s Titusville Area School District has promoted Stephanie Keebler to the role of superintendent, replacing retiring Superintendent Karen Jez. Keebler served previously as the district’s director of federal programs. Read more.

The school board for Virginia’s Botetourt County Public Schools has appointed Lisa Chen to replace retiring Superintendent John Busher. Chen is currently the assistant superintendent of public instruction at Louisa County Public Schools, also in Virginia. Read more.
