More Indiana students graduated high school in 2023 as part of post-COVID rebound

Nearly 89% of Indiana鈥檚 high school seniors graduated last year 鈥 the most since pre-pandemic days, according to new state data.

The latest numbers released last week by the Indiana Department of Education (IDOE) show a post-COVID rebound in which 88.98% of Hoosier students in the Class of 2023 graduated.

That鈥檚 up from 86.52% in 2022 and is the second-highest percentage of graduates since the state first began collecting data in 2012. Indiana鈥檚 highest graduation rate was in 2016 at 89.1%.
