Apps are increasingly common in U.S. classrooms, but a study finds that students aren’t using much of the pricey software that schools buy. Most software is drastically underused by schools. Researchers found a tiny correlation between rising math scores and more time spent using the software, and no correlation for reading improvements and software use.
