Educators in North Dakota’s Northern Cass School District #97 lead two days of professional development for peers who wish to co-teach.
鈥淚t’s usually held during the day as we try to limit the amount of before- or after-school training,鈥 says Superintendent Cory Steiner, who also provides insights for these sessions.
Full-time subs and other administrators cover classes for teachers participating in training.

Northern Cass adapted this PD model from its training program for student teachers from three local universities. These students teach alongside full-time Northern Cass educators.
鈥淲e are trying to find funding to take this training to all universities who place teachers in our schools,鈥 says Steiner.
