FETC 2023 is only two weeks away… and the hype is real

It’s hard to believe that the most anticipated education technology conference in the country is only weeks away, and if you’ve been on social media recently, that’s no surprise to you.

For more than 40 years, thehas equipped education leaders with knowledge of the newest state-of-the-art technologies and best practices through the voices of those on the front lines of innovation. With more than 700 sessions planned, the January 2023 conference in New Orleans will truly inspire and motivate those whose goal is to create a school environment that models success.

Among those who will be speaking at FETC, they’re bringing their excitement to social media. Let’s see what they have to say.

 

, senior director of Information Technology at , an independent nonprofit organization committed to sparking innovation in education is one of the incredible featured speakers at FETC 2023. There she will speak on the importance of diversity and inclusivity in education technology.

“Being a female, as well as a person of color, in IT leadership there are not many of me,” she said in a previous interview with District 91心頭istration. “How can I help build future edtech leaders, in particular women and people of color?”

As social media’s presence in education continues to grow, it’s important that educators and administrators have a clear understanding of how to utilize it. with will be presenting sessions such as “” where she will teach attendees how to use classroom-safe alternatives that allow students to create “Tik Tok-like” videos to enhance their learning and give educators another resource to inspire their young learners.

For school and district leaders, it’s okay to take a… different approach to professional development. After all, it’s nice to switch things up a bit.

, Google Innovator and Assistant Principal of LPLTC Virtual Livingston Parish Public Schools will be presenting a session titled “.”

“Learn new, engaging ways to hold a professional development for your staff,” the session description reads. “Too many PDs are the dreaded “sit and get” style, this session shows unconventional styles that include engagement and teacher choice.”
