Attendees of in Miami will have the opportunity to go on field trips to many different schools in the Miami area on Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
These five schools are at the forefront of ed tech and feature innovative programs in STEM learning, technology, robotics, biotech and engineering. They include:
BioTECH @ Richmond Heights High School, a public District-wide Magnet high school, grades 9 – 12 and home to Miami’s unique Conservation Biology Magnet program.
Miami Southridge Senior High School, a traditional public high school, grades 9-12, with three new Magnet Schools Assistance Program Grant funded S.T.E.M. high-tech Magnet programs: Business Innovation & Management, Gaming Design & Animation, and Coding & Application Design.
Rockway Middle School, a designated M-DCPS Silver S.T.E.A.M. school, is a public middle school for grades 6-8 with a Magnet program that exposes students to the core concepts of technology in Robotics and Engineering. Instructional practices bridge the relationships among technologies and its connections with other fields of study.
Miami Coral Park Senior High School,a traditional public high school for grades 9 -12 with four S.T.E.M. focused Magnet programs in Architecture, Biomedical Sciences, Construction, and Engineering & Robotics.
